want everybody to keep well in mind that the UCSB shooting was an act of misogyny and not mental illness
The gun lobby and its right-wing allies immediately do everything they can to make all acts of gun violence about mental health. Mental health is certainly a contributing factor (mentally healthy people don’t usually commit murders), everything we know about the killer in this case indicates that this was intended to be an act of extreme violence against women.

contrary to popular belief, feminism is not a movement against men, it is a movement for women.
and contrary to popular belief, men’s rights activism is not a movement for men, it is a movement against women.
